Why do we sneeze?
Clover answers for ages 4–9, then goes 1 step deeper each time a child asks why.

Clover says
Sometimes dust, pollen or a puff of pepper gets into your nose and tickles it. Your nose sends a quick message to your brain. Your brain answers with a big blast of air, ah-choo, that blows the tickly stuff back out.

How does my body make a sneeze so fast?
The tickle message goes to a special spot in your brain called the sneeze centre. It tells lots of muscles to squeeze at once, in your tummy, your chest and your throat. Even your eyelids join in, so your eyes always close. Then whoosh, a sneeze can fly out faster than a car on the highway.
