What did dinosaurs eat?
Tiny answers for ages 4–9, then goes 1 step deeper each time a child asks why.

Tiny says
Peek inside a dinosaur's mouth for clues. T. rex had sharp, pointy teeth as long as bananas, just right for slicing meat. Long-necked dinosaurs had little peg-shaped teeth for eating plants. So a dinosaur's teeth tell us what was on the menu.

Why were their plant-eating teeth so simple?
Long-necked dinosaurs kept growing new teeth. Every few weeks, each little peg tooth was swapped for a fresh one. Simple teeth are quick to grow, so new ones kept on coming. Scientists think light little teeth also helped at the end of such a long neck.
