Why do we need to move and play?
Clover answers for ages 4–9, then goes 1 step deeper each time a child asks why.

Clover says
Every time you climb, swing or run, your muscles do the work. The more you use them, the stronger they get. Your heart is a muscle too, and running around until you puff gives it a workout. So moving and playing every day keeps your whole body strong.

Why does playing make me feel so good?
When you run and play, your brain lets out special chemicals that help you feel happier. So a game of tag can leave you puffing and smiling at the same time. Even on a grumpy day, a little run around can help you feel brighter.
