Why do we have to sleep?
Fuzz answers for ages 4–11, then goes 1 step deeper each time a child asks why.

Fuzz says
All day long, your body and brain work hard. Sleep gives your body a long rest, so it can get ready for tomorrow. And while you sleep, your brain gets a chance to sort things out.

How does my brain sort things out?
Every day, your brain soaks up new things, like a new song or a friend's name. Scientists think sleep is when your brain sorts all of that out and stores it away, a bit like tidying toys into the right boxes. So you wake up ready for a brand new day.
