Why do we drink water?
Clover answers for ages 4–9, then goes 1 step deeper each time a child asks why.

Clover says
More than half of your body is water. There's water in your blood, in your sweat and in your wee. Every day, some of that water leaves your body. So you drink to top it back up, and everything inside you keeps working.

What does all that water do inside me?
Your blood is full of water, and it carries oxygen, the part of the air your body needs, to every bit of you. Water helps your tummy break down food and wash away waste. It's also what sweat is made of, and sweat stops you getting too hot. Every one of those jobs uses water up.
